GRYM STAFF AND LEADERS
Trane has served as Youth Minister at Garden Ridge since 2009 but has been doing youth ministry since 2000. He attended Lipscomb University, Murray State University, Eastern New Mexico University and Lubbock Christian University.
Trane loves doing ministry for the Kingdom in general, but his passion is especially for teenagers, helping them realize their full, God-given potential and navigate the treacherous landscape of the teen years. He partners with the teens' parents to help them instill lifelong faith and ensure the greatest chances for their success.
Trane knows firsthand the importance of godly mentors, as his own faith is the product of several key figures creating and cultivating faith in him. Thus, he is committed to providing a ministry where teens can find those same influences.
Trane has been married to Tamara since 2004, and they have three tremendous kids--Jadyn, Jordyn and Jace. Tamara is a STEM Teacher at Lewisville Christian School in addition to being a prolific volunteer in the Garden Ridge family's youth, children's, and family life ministries.
In addition to family time and ministry, Trane enjoys writing, playing guitar and piano and all things wrapped in a tortilla.

Researchers suggest that the ideal adult/child ratio for a child's success is 5-to-1. Not one adult for every five students; FIVE adults for EVERY child!
Teens need meaningful relationships with five caring adults, and GRYM is full of caring adults.
We have an amazing team of adult volunteers consistently involved in the teens' lives!
In addition to the parents and other adults who occasionally host the group in their homes or help with other events, these adults:
... teach Bible classes every week
... host teens in their homes frequently
... lead small group discussion/sharing groups every Wednesday
... go on weekend/week-long trips with the youth group
... attend teens' games and performances
... and pray daily/weekly for students by name
These adults range from singles to newly-marrieds to empty-nesters, leaders in the corporate world and homemakers, introverts and extroverts, and everything in between.
Thanks to this diverse group of adults, every student in our ministry has one or more adults investing personally in their growth and well-being.
