CAMP ICHTHUS

July 10-15, 2022

 

A camp for students who are entering 7th-12th grades.

 

Engaging studies, unique outdoor activities, memorable camp worship and great times with other North Texas teens!

 

The experiences at this camp could have a lifetime of influence!

 

This camp is held at the Collin County Adventure Camp in Anna, TX. It is directed, planned and staffed entirely by a team of North Texas churches of Christ.

 

The cost is $250, but GRYM is paying $100 of that for each participant.

So students are responsible for $150 of the cost.

STEP 1

Complete the ONLINE FORM HERE and pay the $20 deposit (plus a small processing fee).

The website is Eventbrite, so technically, you are buying "tickets" to camp.

​

STEP 2

Pay Trane the remaining $130 BY SUNDAY, JUNE 5. (Cost goes up $30 after that!)

 

You can pay by cash or by check (made to Garden Ridge church of Christ) or online.

​

SUNDAY, July 10

Meet at GRCC at 1:45p. Eat lunch before.

​

FRIDAY, July 15

We will eat lunch and then arrive at GRCC around 1:30p.

​

WHAT TO BRING:

. Bible

. Pillow
 

. Bedding (twin-sized bunk beds)
 

. TWO towels (one for swimming and one for showers)
 

. Toiletries
 

. Comfortable clothes for indoor and outdoor activity (prepare for warm and cold and rain; and some clothes need to be able to get VERY MESSY)
* NOTE: Shirts and shorts MUST be modest. Guys may not wear sleeveless shirts that are open enough to see inside. Girls' shirts must not be low cut or raise up to show the stomach during activity, and shorts must not be short enough to ride up when sitting on the floor.

* Pay close attention to the dress code in the camp letter sent from Warren Shepherd
 

. Comfortable shoes

 

. Swim clothes (bikinis must be covered by a colored shirt)
 

. Shoes to wear to the pool

 

. Reusable water bottle

 

. Small backpack or drawstring bag may be handy
 

. Jacket
 

. Sunscreen
 

. Musical instruments or other hobby stuff (there will be a talent show!!!)
 

. Flashlight (optional)

 

. ALL meds must be in the original container and turned in to the nurse at registration on Sunday.

IMPORTANT: Cell phones and other devices are NOT allowed. Either do not bring them or be ready to turn them in to Trane or the Ichthus staff upon arrival. Campers may be reached during the week by contacting Trane.

THEME DAYS

Each day has a theme assigned to it for those who want to dress accordingly, just for fun.

MONDAY: 'Merica Monday

TUESDAY: Tacky Tourist Tuesday

WEDNESDAY: Western Wednesday

THURSDAY: Dad Day Thursday
