CAMPS, RETREATS & OTHER TRIPS
HOT PURSUIT RETREAT (for teens)
April 26-28, 2019 (Friday-Sunday)
Camp Copass in Denton, TX

Hang with awesome people and learn how to date well, overcome sexual temptation and find love in all the right places.
​
Designed and age-appropriate for 6th-12thers​
As always, non-Garden Ridge members welcome!
​
The cost is $85, due SUNDAY, APRIL 7.
​
To register, fill out the online form and turn in your money by that date.
​

(PARENTS: There's also a seminar for you the same Friday night to help you learn how to talk to your kids about sexuality and help them date well. See info below and fill out the form to register.)

DEPART FOR RETREAT:
Friday, meet at the church at 5:00pm (dinner provided at the church)
RETURN FROM RETREAT:
Sunday, we will return to the church by Sunday after lunch (time TBA)
WHAT TO BRING:
Participants need
> Money for ONE meal (fast food lunch on the way home)
> Snacks to be shared with the group
> Bible
> Pillow
> Bedding (twin-sized bunk beds)
> Towel
> Toiletries
> Comfortable clothes for indoor and outdoor activity (IMPORTANT: prepare for warm and cold and rain)
> Comfortable shoes
> A set of clothes and shoes to get very messy in (possibly chilly and messy)
> An extra towel for the messy activities (optional)
> Bike (optional)
> Hanging hammock (optional)
> Instruments, games, etc. (optional)
> Flashlight (optional)

NOTE: Cell phone use will be limited, so if you need to reach your teen, contact Trane.

Would you like help learning how to talk to your kids about sexuality and how to help them date well?​
​
Scott Jarvis will teach on both of those topics and provide the chance for discussion with other parents to encourage and share with each other.
​
This event is FREE.
​
All parents are welcome (any age kids; whether they have kids on the retreat or not), so invite your friends!
​
There will also be a BBQ dinner provided, also free. It'll be served from 5:30p-6:00p (you may continue eating during the sessions)

JUNIOR/SENIOR TRIP
(for current 11th & 12th graders)
May 31-June 2, 2019 (Friday-Sunday)
Oakridge Camp, Anadarko OK​
​
Always a memorable adventure for our upperclassmen!
​
This year, current 11th-12thers are invited to embark on an adventure to Oakridge Retreat Center in Anadarko, OK.
We will enjoy Goliath Tower high ropes, archery tag and more.
Cost is $120, due SUNDAY, MAY 5. (For financial assistance, contact Trane.)

As always, guests are welcome, so invite your friends!
